It may further be specifically understood that such a candidate who qualifies the SET would only be held eligible for being appointed as Lecturer in University/ affiliated college, provided he/she fulfills other academic qualifications prescribed for lecturer post by the U.G.C. and is selected by the respective Selection Committee. Unlike the NET/UGC-CSIR Combined Test the candidates who qualifies the SET is only eligible for being selected as lecturer and not for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship (SET) -  2013
Scheme of Examination
 
The Examination will consists of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III. The examination for all the three papers would be held on one day, in two separate sessions.

A The SET will be conducted in Objective Mode. The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on the day of Examination in two separate sessions as under.

Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required marks in each paper, separately, as mentioned above, will be considered for final preparation of result.

However, the final qualifying criteria for eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by the Moderation Committee before declaration of SET result.
